Here’s a small fill for the first day of @ignoctweek nsfw week (although it’s only nsfw-lite at best), combining both the exploration and first time prompts kind of.

Noctis swallowed
nervously at the silence that came from behind him.

“I know it’s a lot,” he
began. Ignis still said nothing, but Noctis could feel the weight of his gaze
on his back.

It had all been going so
well. He’d finally worked up the nerve to ask Ignis out, he’d actually said
yes, and now after what felt like a thousand years, they were in his bedroom.

And he’d ruined it all by
forgetting quite how terrible his scar looked, the way the raised claw marks
mixing horribly with the dark damage from the starscourge, and pulled off his
shirt with a bit too much enthusiasm, twisting to throw it behind him. He’d
forgotten all about his scar in his excitement, honestly, until he heard Ignis’ quiet intake of
breath.

Ignis had seen glimpses
of his scar before now, of course, though never the full extent of it, but he
had to admit that he hadn’t thought Ignis would react that way, and it stung.

“I’ll, uh, just…” he
started to bend down for his shirt when Ignis’ hands gripped his waist and he
pressed a kiss at the highest point of his scar where the damage met the
healthy skin, and Noctis let out a breathy noise of surprise.

The scar itself had no
feeling, but just there was very sensitive, and it took him by surprise.

“It looks like a
mountain,” Ignis said, his voice soft, contemplative. His finger trailed from
the top of the scar on his back, to the bottom of it above his hip. “And a
valley, here.” He pressed another kiss against his hip. “I’d love to explore…
if that is alright with you.”

The tremble of his hands
against Noct’s skin gave away his nerves and Noctis found himself smiling.

“Yeah,” he said, and
Ignis ran his tongue along the edge of the scar. “Yeah, that’s very alright
with me.”

ignoct for the otp game

  • which one hogs the blanket – let’s face it, it’s Noct! He also hogs Ignis though so at least Ignis isn’t cold.
  • which one cuts the other’s hair – Ignis cuts Noct’s (and I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that was canon?) though the one time Noct tried to cut his, it did not go well.
  • which one makes coffee for the other every morning – Ignis tends to make his own coffee as he is usually up much earlier than Noct (who isn’t fond of coffee in the morning anyway). Sometimes Noct makes an effort to get up early and surprise Ignis with a cup.
  • which one picks up the pizza – Noct tends to pick up the pizza (or at least to be the one who orders it) as he has discovered that if he does, then he controls how many veggies go on the pizza.
  • which one likes their music on full volume – Noct made the most of living in his own place by having his music loud.
  • which one complains about the crumbs on the bed – Ignis for sure
  • which one is ticklish – also Ignis. Noct is one of the few people who know his secrets.
  • which one sings and which one plays the music – they both play music (they had a very thorough education) but Noct is actually a pretty decent singer. He’ll sing if they are alone, if Ignis is playing the piano, but generally feels too embarrassed otherwise.
  • which one proposes – I have a headcanon that Noct proposes when they are younger, but Ignis is the one to propose “properly” after the ten year separation. He’d had enough of living without him.

Hi. In that extra ending from Ignis DLC. Do you think he will marry another girl or he’ll stay the last King? Do you think that his relationship with Ignis will develop further since they will surely spend all their time together and be inseparable or it will just stay platonic and they will keep each other company till the end? What do you think about it? I personaly think that SE didn’t develop much this ending because they know that ignoct had To be together so they played it safe

lhugbereth:

Haha darling Anon…. Do you want Ignoct? Cause this is how you get Ignoct.

My take on the Extra Verse ending is that Noct remains the Last King. Prophecies, by nature, tend to come true no matter what. But like any good fantasy story teaches us, there’s often more than one way for that to happen. In one  incarnation, Noct dies on the throne to fight back the darkness, thus ending his bloodline. In another, perhaps he could renounce his title and give up his connection to the crystal’s magic (and the royal line) rather than his life.

In Extra Verse, I like to think the implication is that he ends up with Ignis. Maybe rules for a while, until Insomnia’s reconstruction is going smoothly, then retires from his kingdom which no longer needs a king. He and Iggy go to Cape Caem, or maybe even to Altissia, marry quietly, and spend the rest of their lives making up for all of the lost years.

It’s true that SE didn’t develop the ending very much, and I think you’re right that they wanted to leave it open to interpretation. Not everyone ships Ignoct, not everyone wants the same ending as I do. But anyone who played that DLC and doesn’t agree that Ignis deeply loves Noctis clearly did not play the same game as me. Love strong enough to change the course of history, to reroute a prophecy, and to save a king – that’s what Episode Ignis was about, and I truly believe this is the happy ending they both deserve.

(As do all of us <3)

Anyway, Ignoct is the best love story I’ve ever heard so thanks for asking :3
