Traveler!Shiro AU

An AU where a Shiro from another reality is a self-proclaimed professional in cross-reality travelling. His rules are simple: never mess with time travel, only go through naturally occurring rifts, and never stay longer than necessary.

Then comes our Keith.

A Keith who was not dead (like the one from his reality), and who was not married and tied to the Shiro in this reality. The Shiro in this world never had to experience loosing Keith but he did. He knew how painful it was to lose the person he loved the most. It was the reason why seeing a version of himself that married someone that wasn’t Keith was unsettling… yet, he himself felt hopeful?

This was the first version of Keith that made him want to break his rule and stay.

His other self seemed happy with the way things were but he wasn’t. For the first time in a while, he wanted to be selfish. He wanted to be the Shiro that this Keith needs. If it means that he’d have to break his rules than so be it.

Keith is always worth it to him no matter which reality he was in.

This is my way of coping okay. Don’t think too much on the specifics of the world building around traveler!Shiro cuz I didn’t think it through.  Also, I still have a few more thoughts about this so I dunno, I might add some more content if I’m not super busy..?

cockismybusiness:

Prekerb headcanon that Matt and Keith fake dated for a while as a boon. Shiro would ALWAYS find them and interrupt/cockblock them because he says they should be “studying” instead. He also sat between them in the mess hall sometimes.

Eventually, all grown up Shiro and Keith get together. And Matt will never stop teasing Shiro about it.

And Shiro can’t say SHIT.

The trick to getting blood out of carpets is a fresh bottle of club soda, a generous sprinkling of salt, and patience. Failing that, some diluted ammonia will usually do the trick. Right now, though, Shiro thinks that the only solution to deal with it would be to tear the carpets out altogether and lay plastic down over the bare concrete floor until he can call an exorcist. A career change, he thinks to himself as he scrubs the high pile with a stiff brush, might be in order if he can ever make this sale.

Be that as it may, the blood isn’t going to handle itself.

Shiro blows a stray lock of hair out of his eyes as he kneels back on his knees, blotting over the stain with a clean towel. A loud bang from upstairs rattles the chandelier, unsettling some dust bunnies from among the delicate crystals. It’s a testament to how numb he’s become to all of these sorts of events that Shiro doesn’t even flinch. He picks up the scrub brush and gets back to work.
