When Keith regains consciousness, he’s disoriented and forgetful. He can’t stay awake long. Every time he wakes up he thinks it’s the first time since the battle. The doctors tell Shiro it’s not an uncommon reaction to head trauma, and that he’ll start to retain memory again soon. In the meantime Shiro doesn’t mind answering the same questions over and over, but for when he needs to leave to attend to garrison business he leaves this behind on the table by Keith’s bed:
