As social media continues its never ending demand for content provided
in a list format, we somehow endure. Doesn’t mean we’re not going to
revisit the same concept, just with a different game, though.
5. Origin of the Gray Prince
During your adventures you may decide to join the Arena, whether for
gold or simply because you like hurting things. During your membership,
you may decide to speak with a friendly gray orc named Agronak
gro-Malog, who claims to be related to nobility, but lacks the proof.
Accepting his request to investigate his origins, you’ll travel to a
heavily damaged fortress, and ultimately discover The Gray Prince’s
father. However, you learn Lord Lovidicus has gone completely insane
from decades of imprisonment in his own home, and that he’s also a
vampire. After returning with proof of Agronak gro-Malog’s true origins,
he will be completely disgusted with his true nature as an abomination,
and emotionally shut down. This is all to your benefit, as Agronak
gro-Malog is also the Grand Champion of the Arena, and you can easily
take his title from him in a championship fight where he will not even
try to resist your attempt to murder him for his position.
QUEST REWARD: You emotionally crippled a celebrated fighter, allowing you to easily kill him for your own benefit.
4. Molag Bal
While wandering the vast woodlands of Cyrodiil, you may come across a
shrine to a figure known as “Molag Bal”. After leaving an offering at
the shrine, he will ensure you that all he desires is “Suffering and
death. I want to see a man brought to the edge. And pushed”, which is
enough to get you to agree to just about anything, apparently. He will
specifically ask you target one Melus Petilius, who you learn was a
paladin who became a famous monster slayer, but sadly was not present
when his wife caught a fever and passed away. He has since sworn an oath
of pacifism, and spends most of his time in solemn contemplation of his
wife. You will naturally provoke him as he is praying at his wife’s
grave, which will convince him to finally break his vow and attack you,
dooming him to Oblivion at Molag Bal’s side.
QUEST REWARD: You made a man give up an oath he swore while grieving for his lost love.
3. Infiltration
You consume a strange substance and slaughter a village in your ensuing confusion.
QUEST REWARD: Sometimes the journey is its own reward.
2. Mephala
Nords and Dunmer have some famous conflicts with each other, but the
two families at Bleaker’s Way have somehow managed to put those aside to
live in harmony. You will obviously not put up with that, and at the
suggestion of Mephala, start a family feud by convincing both families
that the other has murdered their patriarch. This turns out to be
surprisingly easy, and soon both families will be at each other’s
throats, literally.
QUEST REWARD: You murdered two people, and destroyed an entire family in the following conflict.
1. The Purification
It’s not easy learning to trust and love someone, especially for a
family of assassins. But that’s exactly what the Cheydinhal Sanctuary
learns to do, taking you in and embracing you as one their own. Each
member of your new family will help you along your way, providing you
advice, tools, or just simple companionship. And then you kill them all.
